Welcome to our last Magnificent Mermaid Thursday, we’ve gotten to know each of our design team mermaids a little better and now it’s my turn and seems a little odd to interview myself, so here goes!
Hi, my name is Jan, I’m one of Michelle’s design team coordinators, Marion and I share this totally fun job.
I’m married to a wonderful man who supports my crafting addiction and have three children. My oldest boy is 21 and has left the nest. There’s quite a gap between my oldest child and my next two children, I had a second set of kids when I was forty. Jenny and Michael are now 9 and 10 years old and I love being their Mom.
We live in a small town in western Arizona along the Colorado River. It gets really hot here in the summer time and I’m so glad we are moving into the “winter” months here now!
I think I have a job outside of stamping. I’m a stay at home Mom and love being able to be here when my kids arrive home from school. I keep busy creating cards and projects, in the winter months I get together with several of my stamping friends and we have stamp classes.
I started stamping while making scrapbooks after my last two kids were born. I met a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and we became fast friends and the rest is history!
I’m not sure if I have a favorite embellishment, living where I do I make most of my embellishments because there is no where to buy them. I suppose lately I’ve been using lots of half pearls though!
Do I have a favorite stamp from Michelle Perkett Studio? I have several and I’d like to color them all!!
I would describe my stamping style as ever changing and evolving and hopefully improving. I enjoy learning new tips, tricks, techniques, etc.
My favorite part of stamping is the creating process; I love to put things together.
My favorite non card projects would be making boxes, purses, bags, totes, etc.
I’ve had a few of my cards published in on line magazines, one in Scrapbook News & Reviews earlier this month, I used the Michelle Perkett Studio Angel of Hope image.
I enjoy coloring with Copic markers and I’m always amazed at how beautifully they blend. I could sit and color all day it’s so rewarding.
My blog is called She’s Gone Stampin’. I like to share what I’ve been working on, mostly cards. It gets a little personal every once in awhile. I’ve been blogging for three years now and I’ve made so many wonderful friends in that short time. I hope you'll stop by and visit some time soon.
There you go, that’s me.
I hope you'll join us for our challenge here this week too.
