And this week Claire was so kind to tell us about her Family tradition.
Like she told us, Claire is from the UK! And off course they have a different way of celebrating the holidays! So I give the word now to Claire!

Here's a little info about Christmas in the UK

We celebrate Christmas on December 25th here in the UK. We decorate our houses with a Christmas tree and other decorations, its getting more popular to put decorations outside the house and in the garden too. Coming up to Christmas, we  have a lot of parties , catching up with friends and family. December is a really exciting time with everyone getting ready for the celebrations. We usually go to a Carol Service, and often have  children calling round the neighbourhood singing Christmas Carols. We always give them some money or a treat, similar to trick or treating.

Father Christmas visits during the night on Christmas Eve (December 24th), he flies in a sleigh pulled by his reindeer and  comes down the chimney  and leaves presents for all the family. We always leave him a glass of sherry and a mince pie, of course we don't forget the reindeer and make sure we leave them some carrots and drink of water lol. Christmas is a time for family and we celebrate with a special lunch of turkey or perhaps goose followed by Christmas pudding.

I love Christmas, its not quite the same now my son is grown up and doesn't believe in Father Christmas but its a very special family time. When my son was a little boy we always made some Christmas decorations and still use them every year (I think he's a bit embarrassed about it lol). I still love to make my own decorations and ornaments for Christmas and make all my own Christmas cards to send to friends and family.

Claire... thanks for sharing this wonderful story and for being so open about your private life.

Oh and before I forget... Stay tuned here because tomorrow we have a big party at the
